Jaba Samushia: Special Commission on Reasonability of Drain Systems and Road Rehabilitation Expenses must be Formed

At today's briefing Vice-Chairman Samushia presented documents proving unwise expenditure of budget in the first quarter of the year and demanded formation of a special commission that would study reasonability of drain systems and road rehabilitation expenses.

According to Samushia, they, the Christian-Democrats audited sums spent from capital's budget on road rehabilitation during the first quarter of the year and found violations. Namely, Vice-Chairman showed photos taken in streets where according to budget report road renovation works were held. This photos made it clear that no repair works have been performed there.

"The data presented in this document should be reconsidered. Therefore, we, the Christian-Democrats, call for City Mayor to answer our questions instead of sending heads of different services to Assembly meetings. Mayor Ugulava must explain us where to were the amounts directed in reality," declared Jaba Samushia.

Besides, Vice-Chairman underlined that during the first quarter of the year only GEL 300 000 were spent on city drain system renovation, whereas GEL 1 500 000 were expended on concerts.

"Christian-Democrats" will put this issues at today's Assembly meeting.
