Zaza Gabunia Ready to Work in ''Social Shelter'' Commission

At today's briefing Tbilisi City Assembly Christian-Democrat member Gabunia responded to a proposal made to him openly by City Hall's Press-Speaker on June 7.

"I do welcome Tbilisi City Hall's recent statement foreseeing for publicity and involvement within the bounds of "Social Shelter" programme. For my turn, I express readiness to participate in mentioned commission's work, as it will let me to lobby for the project and protect citizens' interests even more actively," said Assembly Christian-Democrat member.

Besides, Zaza Gabunia underlines that homeless people problem is a priority one for Christian-Democrats and they have been working on the issue since forming a Faction in the City Assembly.

"Tbilisi City Hall's absolutely correct decision to construct 2 shelters per year instead of one was taken on the basis of our Faction's persistence. Well, it should be said that neither this quantity of shelters is sufficient for solving the problem but it is still a step taken ahead and I hope that wiork in this direction will be continued even more actively," stated Zaza Gabunia
